Honeymoon Practice

Sarah had told everyone we were going to have a weekend practising for the honeymoon. No, it wasn't what immediately springs to mind. We went sailing for the weekend. We booked a weekend on a yacht with Plain Sailing. The sailing got off to a shaky start when the boat would not start. Fortunately we were able to transfer to the skipper’s boat, and add a pleasant trip from Brixham to Exmouth. Sunday was a much windier day with force 7 winds and rain. Once out of the shelter of the bay we headed up towards Dartmouth, we were one two yachts in sight. What a fantastic trip with the boat heeled over as we headed into the wind with waves breaking over the bow making up to 7 knots. We headed for home once at the entrance to Dartmouth. By the time we reached the breakwater we were definitely cold, wet and ready to warm up with a cup a soup.
