1 in 35,000

The waiting continues. Sarah had a scan yesterday to examine her retained placenta. Today it was decided that it would be best not to operate, but to keep her under observation. She has been moved to her own room but is not happy about being kept in. Apparently her condition affects only 1 in 35,000 and is only the second case the consultant has seen. I still maintain she is just a hoarder and it is not big or clever!

Apart from the prolonged stay both she and Amelia are well.

A longer wait

Sarah has to have an operation next Tuesday so it looks like it will be Thursday before they both come home. I'm not sure I can wait another week.

A long wait...

After making us wait longer than is courteous Amelia Eve joined us today at 5.07am weighing 3.5Kg (7lbs 12oz) . She was a little later than expected having announced her imminent arrival over 24 hours earlier.

Sarah is a little tired and bruised but very happy.

Almost there

Looked like Sarah was in the earliest stages of labor this morning, but it was a false alarm. She has had a ante natal appointment this afternoon, everything is OK. So we are just waiting for the starting gun.

I wish she would get on with it ;)

The last few weeks have been manic trying to get the house ready, but expect the number of posts to increase.
