Photobox

The prints dropped through the letter box this morning, well actually the postman knocked the door rather than fight with the small letterbox. The prints are very good and only 20p for 7 x 5. The quick delivery and quality means that we will be using photobox again and all from the comfort of your own keyboard.

Sarah's new camera

I gave Sarah a new digital camera for her birthday, which should be useful as she is about to take a photography course which includes a digital element. It was an early present so that she could use it when she was in France (makes up for last years being late). Now that she has tried it we are giving one of the web printing services a go. The pictures can be found here. We will give a verdict when the prints drop through the letterbox.

Le Weekend

It all seemed a bit hectic at first, came back from Sweden on Friday spent a night in my own bed before flying to France on Saturday. Would have been good to be able to go directly from Sweden to France but Air France wanted me to buy the plane to make that possible. So on Saturday I flew from Exeter to Brest. Exeter airport is so small it looks like it shrank in the wash, Brest airport is even smaller.

I landed at a very sunny Brest 35 minutes after take off, where I was met by Sarah who had arrived on Wednesday and Allan, Rachel and Abbey who where lucky enough to have 2 weeks in a huge stone cottage at Kerdelann. So we had a relaxing weekend of swimming, playing pool and sampling the local beverages. When you have a small child the way to recreate those student days is have a house with a pool table.

All too soon it was back to Exeter before driving Sarah to Winchester (She has a two day course there) for her birthday dinner. The first time I have eaten in a Nepalese resturant. It was hardly any time at all before it was to get up and drive home to work.

Sweden

Back again in my favourite place to work. Looking forward to a dustbin lid sized pizza. It is great to be back in the land of laidbackness. I even have my very own office now, what luxury. Just had a look at Jonny's blog, he has a view of Lake Como, I have a view of the Scania factory. I must admit my only real complaint is that the free internet access has an almost unusable signal in my room. So I am having to sit in the bar to write this. This is not somewhere to spend too much time with Swedish prices.

Ditch monkey

I heard about this guy on the radio. He is living in a ditch to raise money for the woodland trust. He started off aiming for a period of six weeks but has extended it to a year.
